Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique blend. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European festivals and clubs to even the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, as a singer and pianist at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You a house 12 issued exclusively in Japan It has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become a staple of her live set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) offered her the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of notice during the four performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
